“There is no justification for taking away individuals freedom in the guise of public safety.” – A Warning from Thomas Jefferson
He goes on to say that if this is accepted the government will constantly be declaring emergencies to have an excuse to impose its will. Yet the last two years of world history has shown the entire world removing freedoms from its citizens “in the guise of public safety.” Have we learned nothing from the past? These words have been available to learn from. Why have the powerful repeatedly told us not to look too closely at the past? “It’s full of slavery and all manner of horrible things.” But it is also filled with the stories of the struggle for freedom against the forces of tyranny. Why have our schools failed to teach this? Perhaps it is because they are directed by the powerful in some of the most corrupt cities in the world.
Worse, they have not used this one time but have continued to use this and returned to this “guise of public safety” repeatedly now that they have determined how well it works and how many people are willing to meekly relinquish their rights as long as the government uses this excuse. However, if you look at the actual data you will see their manipulations in making crises out of events that are considerably less of an emergency, while ongoing casualties of violence and deaths for environmental or toxic products are not worth, we are told, our notice. Things that make them money that they do nothing about. This proves they are liars and masters of manipulation.

For instance, per capita, people continue to die every week in Chicago while the death for unexplained causes is up 15% in the developed countries (let’s be clear, these are unexplained and NOT due to Covid.) This, which seems greater than the number who died from covid is somehow not even worth mentioning or investigating in the media and we are told we don’t need to look for the reason why. For some reason, trying to fix the epidemic of violence or this massive spike in unexplained deaths has been allowed to continue unabated and is not news. Why not? Perhaps they know why and don’t want us asking.
As for the violence in the cities, we are told the only solution is to pass laws taking weapons away from the law-abiding. Even though the places with the strongest gun laws have the most numerous events of criminal violence. Since the 70s data conclusively shows that taking away arms from the law-abiding increases crime and doesn’t reduce it. It’s not like this is a surprise. Jefferson said the same thing over 200 years ago, surely your teacher told you that he said:
“Laws that forbid the carrying of arms…disarm only those who are neither inclined nor determined to commit crimes…Such laws make things worse for the assaulted and better for the assailants; they serve rather to encourage than to prevent homicides, for an unarmed man may be attacked with greater confidence than an armed man.” – Thomas Jefferson
“But…Police!” the comfortable, who are in no danger, cry. Yeah, that. It takes 10-15 minutes for police to show up, on a good day. Give your child a squirt gun and go hide. See how many minutes it takes them to find and shoot you with the squirt gun (don’t lock the doors because a locked door won’t stop a man with a gun – especially the hollow core doors in most houses today.) This will be an educational experience for you and they will have fun doing it. You probably need to spend more time with your kids anyway. You will find that ten to fifteen minutes is a VERY long time if you are in danger. But the pampered people who have never been in danger don’t know this and think they are being reasonable.
As far as law enforcement is concerned, well, I did that professionally. It was well known among us that the police probably wouldn’t be there to protect you. In many, if not most cases, they show up to draw little white lines around where your body was to help their investigation as they try to figure out who killed you. Hopefully, they will. That won’t help you, or your family, but perhaps justice will be served.
Also, the people who advocate taking these rights away usually live in cities and, are largely parroting what they have been told without any real understanding. Further, they have not been taught basic cognitive abilities in their schools or they might know they have no data backing them up and that these laws don’t even make sense in cities but in small towns and rural areas they are ridiculous. Country folk are more spread out, social distancing is a joke when you are working alone in a field and the next person is over a mile away.
As for arms and police, when I first moved from the city to a small town that had no police I had to call the sheriff once. “I’m sorry,” they said. “Both our cars are responding to calls on the far side of the county. They will probably take about an hour per call and it will take another 40 minutes to an hour to get to your location.” So, if 10-15 minutes is a long time in the city how does 2 hours sound? Originally, laws and governance were to be as local as possible to reflect the actual needs of the community instead of imposing restrictions everywhere that are only needed in a few places.
It may be that people hundreds of miles away are making decisions for you, (as they are for many in every state,) without any regard to the rights of those that they are violating or their actual needs. This is why the founders rejected democracy and called it the tyranny of the majority. Laws should be made at the smallest level possible and agencies to help make decisions and act locally whenever possible…but that would not sate the desire for power that politicians and the elite have always had. No, the current arguments people throw around don’t carry any real weight. They may sound good but the facts repeatedly reveal that those who say them are either ignorant or they are deceiving you. Either way, they aren’t the kind of people whom we want in government or choosing leaders.
THE TYRANNY OF THE MAJORITY
This holds true with everything. Whether it is the right to keep and bear arms, freedom of speech, or any other freedom they should not be denied based upon some trumped-up crisis the government is pushing. You are being lied to. I remember watching as even a weather channel reporter was struggling against the high winds as a hurricane approached. Unfortunately, he didn’t see the two guys in the background who were in shorts and t-shirts walking by non-nonchalantly and with no difficulty whatsoever. Why would even the weather reports lie? To hold your interest? To get you to tune in, and make their money through their advertising? Is this why everything is the worst it’s ever been? Or why we have never seen such a thing? When people who have read history, or sometimes even paid attention over the last few years clearly HAVE seen such a thing. If even something that is supposed to serve the public like a weather report is lying for money then how much more so do politicians and corporations that have a lot more money and power riding on your compliance than weather and news does? Let’s say it again because your school probably didn’t teach you and it is knowledge we have had for hundreds of years:
