If we are not all free then none of us are free. Do we still live in a free country today? Does our flag wave proud over the land of the free and the home of the brave? It should be a simple question. In a free country, the government not only allows but upholds the rights and interests of its citizens and is responsive to them. Are our guaranteed rights, including the right to free speech, freedom of assembly, freedom of religion, and protection from search and seizure on ‘trumped up” charges protected? Is that the country we live in today?

In our country today Trump was raided by what some have called the new American Stazi (secret police), the FBI. Conspiracy theorists have accused them of heinous acts in the past, the possible assassination of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. and JFK among them, and stories of J. Edgar Hoover using the FBI to target political opponents abound. But now we have all seen it happen. We can no longer ignore it. It is no longer a possibility the FBI could be a tool of tyranny now it is a tool of tyranny.
Think about it. Free governments secure our God-given rights. Tyrannies take them from us.
If the rights of a multi-millionaire cannot be protected can yours? If the rights of a powerful political figure cannot be protected can yours? If the rights of well-known popular (and unpopular) figures cannot be protected can yours? If the rights of a former President of the United States cannot be protected can yours? What if the FBI can violate the rights of a multi-millionaire, with powerful political connections, who is widely popular and well-known, and who is ALSO a former President of the most powerful nation on Earth what chance do you have to be free?
I know you’ll shake your head and say, “This is still a free country! After all, the government hasn’t forced us to remain in our homes except in case of emergency, it hasn’t closed down businesses in entire cities, it hasn’t told us our job was unnecessary so just stay home. It hasn’t forced its citizens to receive unwanted medical care, shut down vital pipelines, disrupted food supplies, intentionally forced up costs of everything necessary for life by artificially inflating fuel prices necessary for providing everything necessary for life? It hasn’t arrested pastors for holding worship services and hasn’t closed down churches? It doesn’t interfere with how we raise our children? Or attack parents who interfere with the propaganda being forced on our children in government schools? Has it?”
In all communist tyrannies, the government used fear to suppress and control the population. That fear included punitive raids on the homes of those who opposed the existing power structure and encouraging children to inform on their parents and people on their neighbors. American children now inform upon their parents, and people are encouraged to report on their neighbors to maintain control. This is the hallmark of tyranny. Brainwashing children to inform their families. Our government does this. What does that tell you?

Our Government Has Done All These Things to Violate Our Rights, Now Its Worse
It was recently exposed that the Homeland Security guidance for domestic terrorism includes using the historical American flags of the Gadsden Flag or the original 13 colonies flag commonly called the “Betsy Ross” flag. They consider people who quote the founding fathers and talk about their rights as potential terrorists. if you have a T-shirt or truck sticker of a Marvel Comics character the “Punisher” they look at you as “dangerous.”
Personally, I never liked Punisher I liked Captain America, the living symbol of all our freedoms.
In addition, they look harshly at anyone who honors a “Warrior Culture,” which is nearly every army and marine veteran that I know. “Molon Labe,” “Remember the Alamo,” “Electrical resistance symbol,” “Gadsden Flag, Historical American symbol representing gun rights and limited government.” “Revolutionary War Imagery or imagery of militiaman during the revolutionary war.” “Liberty Tree: The Liberty Tree was a famous elm tree in Boston near Boston Commons, in 1765, colonists in Boston staged the first act of defiance against the British government at the tree.” “Betsy Ross Flag: Revolutionary war imagery harkening back to the 13 colonies” “calls for revolution” reprinting quotes from the founding fathers.
I hope you don’t observe “Talk like a Pirate” day because Pirate Flags or a Black American Flag, any flag that indicates “No Quarter Given.” Spartan Helmets or references to Molon Labe “Come and Take It” “When Tyranny becomes law, rebellion becomes duty.” and other quotes by the founding fathers of America are “dangerous.” The government agents are exacerbating the problem by becoming storm-troopers.
However, there are too many people on the left and right who only know war through video games and too few who know the actual horrors. Those who push for violence, should first take a vacation in Ukraine or Syria and see how they like it. I have read that Ukrainians are starting to turn away American “glory-hunters” because they are clueless and getting people killed taking selfies, using their phones, and revealing their positions. Beware of those who blithely call for war. It must be the absolute last resort. The only people who want civil war are enemies of America, its ideals, and its people. They are pushing us to extremes of left and right and hoping it will break us. Yet we are already broken if we allow tyranny to reign on our shores we must fix this but any who thinks civil war is a good idea needs to spend a few days looking at pictures of the reality of war on the dark web and look at what happened to America in the Civil War. I haven’t read it but perhaps the book “Living Hell; the Dark Side of the Civil War.” Western Missouri north of Kansas City was practically depopulated by the back and forth reprisals and that was when they used swords and muskets.
Do Free Countries Mistrust the Symbols and Quotes of Freedom?
Still, the government has lost its way and we are being led by those who are utterly clueless. Choose very carefully in the upcoming elections. Our lives may depend on it. If we don’t reform this country peacefully the consequences are too grim to contemplate. Why do I say we are led by the clueless?
I received a pin I wear on my hat of an American Militiaman from the American Revolution that I received from my country when I left military service. It is there with the other military pins and unit crests of the units I served in. Referring to the oath I took as a soldier and then again when I became an Immigration officer, indeed the same vow that every public servant and politician takes to preserve and protect the constitution against “All enemies foreign and domestic.” The militiaman, the oath, and military culture I all came from my service to the country. Yet they are specifically mentioned in this bulletin as indicative of a terrorist attitude when it is in the oath of every soldier, politician, and Federal Officer. Who is making these decisions? Peking? The CCP? We are led by the clueless or traitors or both; and a corrupt man fighting senility is officially in charge? It is an impossibility. So who is in charge? These are not good options.
What Kind Of Nation Cites the Principles, Oaths, and Symbols of Freedom From Our Founders As Subversive?
The early colonists revolted when the British government raised tariffs and broke into patriots’ homes in warrantless, no-knock raids, that injured citizens and destroyed their property. They would look at us today and marvel that we were so unconcerned about our chains of slavery. That is what they called it when people had little to no influence on how their government behaved but continued to tax them and appoint law enforcement and judges over them that did not represent their beliefs. And they knew what real slavery looked like back then because it was an abomination before their very eyes.
Our Declaration of Independence states: “We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness.–That to secure these rights, Governments are instituted among Men, deriving their just powers from the consent of the governed, –That whenever any Form of Government becomes destructive of these ends, it is the Right of the People to alter or to abolish it, and to institute new Government, laying its foundation on such principles and organizing its powers in such form, as to them shall seem most likely to effect their Safety and Happiness.”
Where does this leave us?
We are no longer free. One man observed that the National Guard of his state was now restricting his rights and mobility more than any communist nation had ever done to him. The National Guard prevents us from approaching the government buildings that were always described as “the people’s house” because our government was supposed to be of, by, and for the people. We must hold together and not turn on one another but if we don’t get our country back in the hands of the people there can be no peace. This is what is called an ethical dilemma of two bad choices. Freedom will prevail, it is only a question of how many suffer and if we must submit to decades of slavery before people care enough to make a change.
Who is our government for today? And will we ever be free again?
We cannot regain our freedom without assertive and continuous actions by patriots who love freedom and piety, but as long as we ensure that we have fair elections, free speech, honest media, and avenues for legal redress of grievances in an open and fair judicial system we can do this peacefully.
