The media and “experts” don’t seem to have a clue about Trump’s Tariffs. On top of that, what is happening in Canada? Inquiring minds want to know. But how do you know what is what when the media (owned by those with an agenda,) is lying to us. Then others, who may mean well, respond to the lies they are fed and as the lies change they are “tossed upon the winds of change.” I, however, bring you SabersEdge.Com because, as the apostle says in 1st Thessalonians “Brothers and sisters, we do not want you to be uninformed…” and so, like Saint Paul (although I am no saint,) write to you.
What the media studiously refuses to say is that Trump isn’t starting a Trade War he is engaging in one that has already been started by other countries. Trump’s tariffs ONLY affect countries that have first tarriffed us. Only countries that use unfair tariffs to keep America products out of their markets are receiving tariffs. No others are being tariffed. These are “reciprocal” tariffs which means they are respond to the tariffs placed on us.
Did I mention that some Tariffs that Canada places on some US Dairy products are as high as 290%? But we are portrayed by our “friends” to the North as “unfair” by threatening a 15% Tariff? In the end, nothing already part of the USMCA (US-Mexico-Canada) Free Trade Agreement is not under threat. It is like that across the board. Countries are complaining when the Tariffs Trump is putting on them are smaller than the tariffs that they ALREADY put on us. The media, for some reason, is choosing not to tell you the whole truth of the matter. Maybe they want to “make” you think a certain way instead of giving you the information and letting you decide, maybe some reporters are just stupid…
Also, across the board, the Tariff’s that Trump is putting on others are smaller than the tariffs that they place on American goods. The whole thing is to make a point. America will no longer be pushed around. America will no longer bank roll the economies of the rest of the world just to “play nice.” The United States, and Donald Trump, believe in Free Trade but Trump knows that there can be no free trade with countries that put Tariffs on us. If other countries want to “play” using tariffs? Well, as they say, it takes two to tango and we can play that game too. It is all to bring an end to tariffs. But pampered liberals cannot take any pain or discomfort in their pampered lives, so they overreact living to the dictum: “When in danger, when in doubt, run in circles, scream and shout.” They cannot play the long game, and they cannot understand complex system dynamics. Thus, they oversimplify everything and take things out of context and fail to see the big picture.
Europe (in some areas), Viet Nam, and many many other countries have already folded on Trump’s Tariffs or moved to renegotiate and its not even been a week. And, as I said, Trump’s Tariffs are a reaction, not a policy. He only uses Tariffs on people who were already using them AGAINST America, but the media globalists and statists hide this fact for some reason. Trump does not “love” tariffs he is fighting for Free Trade. He is using Tariffs to hurt the people who think tariffs are good. His ultimate goal is to get tariffs removed altogether. But the shortsighted media and libs cannot see the forest through the trees and those with TDS cannot see fact from lies anyway.
Trump is not starting a Tariff War he is “picking up the guantlet” that other America leaders were too wussy to even touch. America has not had a real man leading them for quite some time, possibly not since Reagan although definitely Eisenhower and Teddy Roosevelt would have qualified. Our feminized society and media have wrongly taught generations that “violence doesn’t solve anything” (if that’s true why do all nations still have armies?), and “if you cannot say anything nice don’t say anything at all” has created a society that is afraid to stand up for itself. A weak society that deserves to die on the international arena (as all weak societies have died,) unless we can REFORGE the foundations of our strength.
Arthur Schopenhauer rightly identified Force as the Primus Occupans. It is the only thing that cannot be overcome by something else. It must be appealed to. The best we can hope is the Force is on the side of right. But that is up to us and how we use it.
The West was and still has the potential to be, the strongest civilization the world has ever seen. We need to refind our strength and reclaim our testosterone, both internationals and individually (get yours checked and restore it if you can. Shots will just make you dependent upon them the rest of your life.)

Let’s talk Canada.
Now, before I start let me tell you that there are at least two Canadas, the East and the West (although British Columbia is kind of its own animal.) There is an old saying in Canada “Quebecois have always wanted out of Canada and Alberta has always wanted in.” From its inception Alberta and the West have been a colony of Canada. They are like a “third world” within Canada and like the American Colonies in 1774 they really have no say in their national government. Once National Elections move Westward and reach Manitoba the National Election (since they don’t have an Electoral College in Canada,) is already decided. Whatever people in Saskatchewan, Alberta, or other Western provinces and territories vote in the election it is irrelevant. The populace of the East has already decided for them what Canadian policy is going to be.
THAT is the reality of a democracy and that is why the founders of America rejected that model. They wanted every state, no matter how small, to have some say in national elections. Democracy has been rightly described as the Tyranny of the majority and Alberta and Saskatchewan have suffered under the heal of that majority.
Half of what Westerners in Canada have to pay for their energy, gas, and heating, is directly caused by the government in Ottawa. It is the taxes that they put on Albertan “dirty energy” that make the lives of Albertans so hard. So, when I talk “Canada” in the next few paragraphs remember, much as they may have wanted to be a part of Canada, Albertans were never allowed to be true Canadians. They have always been a subject people.
Canada has long trafficked and been touted as our “best friend.” Well, if you call people who are in an abusive relationship with your friends then maybe. However, I don’t.
Do friends “boo” your national Anthem like the Canadians did? No, they do not. Even if a friend disagrees with you, they don’t “throw you under the bus.” Do Friends constantly mock you and call you rubes? No, they do not but Canadians, especially, liberal Canadians hate Conservative America more than American Leftists do…and American Leftists want you dead. Do these sound like friends to you? They don’t to me.
Jordan Peterson recently said that he brought two of his best American Students with him back to Canada and he was always mortified when he went out to dinner with them and his academic colleagues in Canada. The Anti-American jokes and statements were so rife he said that they would not have been tolerated by these “good liberal people” against any other demographic. But against white Americans it was supposedly “fine.” Do these sound like our “friends” to you? Again, they are not the kind of people that I would call my friends.
Now, Freedom Troopers, and friends, I don’t want you to be misled. The liberal Canadians, especially those from Ottawa and Quebec do, indeed, hate us and we do not, in any circumstances, want these Tory parasites (and I’m using Tory in the sense of the American Revolution where the Tories were the ones who supported staying as English subjects and were against “dangerous freedom” in America.
But to be fair, they hate Albertans and the people of Saskatchewan and the West just as much as they hate us Americans. I recently saw a cartoon that was used in Canada to support the formation of Alberta way back when it was founded as a territory, and they wanted to develop it as a Province. It portrayed Western Canada as a “milch cow” that could be milked of its resources for the benefits of the Ottawa Elite and the Quebecois. And they proceeded accordingly. Albertans and Westerners are not, and never have been, full partners in the Canadian concern, they have (like the flyover states in the US,) been used by the elite for their own purposes and then forgotten. They are used for what the East can take from them and not because they are respected as equal partners.
For this reason, those in Alberta and the West have reasons to seek independence. In fact, they have more in common with Americans in Utah and the Dakotas than they do with Ottawans and Quebecois. We should support them in their independence and, if someday they want to join America, we should welcome them with open arms. All that the elite in Canada want from the West is their money. Their communist loving socialist government already steals “equalization payments” from the West to support the salon liberals of the east in their foolish and fashionable green programs. The 15% proposed tariff from the US threatened Canada while the 100% tariff by China on their cooking oil was completely ignored. Again, this is not how friends act. They, the Elite of Ottawa and the Quebecois take their money while trying to strangle the very “dirty energy” businesses that produce the money they are using to prop themselves and their lavish spending up.
Like all leftists they are quick to spend but don’t ask where the money is coming from…until it runs out.
I would love to see all of Western Canada join America and Ottawa and Quebec and their liberal policies isolated where they can crawl to Europe and lick their boots as Carney is already doing to gain favor. A map that had all of Western Canada and the US as one and Alaska no longer being isolated from the rest of the country would be awesome. But it is up to Albertans and other Western Canadians. They have been trained by their government to be anti-American, but I think, once independent, they will come to see the advantages of being protected by the American umbrella.
As one Canadian I was listening to (on a channel called Viva Frei,) he pointed out that Americans fought a war to be free from European domination. But Canadians said, “No, we’re fine with it. We’re fine with taxation without representation. We’re fine with the king. We’re fine with getting the crumbs from the European table (as it was in the 1700 and 1800s). They are fine with being a slave people and with not being free.”
But that is Eastern Canada. Western Canadians had to be free to find their way in a wilderness. The pioneers who built the West were a different breed. If Alberta and Saskatchewan can get their independence it will give Canadians who want to be free a place to move to while the Tories who are fine with being told what to do by government, being locked in their own houses for months, and being told what to put in their arms, those people can move to Ottawa and Quebec.
But no. Canada has not really been our friend since World War II. Many of them are snobs who have declared themselves too good for us and whose primary self-image is not so much “Canadian” as it is “I’m not an American.” These Canadians are not our friends, and we don’t want them in our country. But we are not alone feeling their enmity. They have no love for the people of Western Canada either. They see them as “hayseeds” and “rubes” that belong on the “Red and Green Show.”
As I said, those Canadians who yearn to be free, they are a different breed. I’d take them in a heartbeat.
HOW ABOUT CHINA AND MEDIA PROTECTION OF COMMUNISM?
China immediately lashed out with retaliatory tariffs on the US of 30%, and raised their already punitive tariffs on our country. That is what China does. They are bullies and their initial response is always to attack. If China doesn’t remove them the White House is going to slap a 50% tariff across the board on China. How’s THAT gonna work out?
I have watched China closely since at least the Bush and Barack Obama Administrations. By then it was clear to me that was where the chief threat to World Peace (barring the Middle East) lay. China is, and as I look across its long history, always has been a bully. Their response to everything is force, bluster, and threats. Only after you get past those can you sometimes get to a reasonable response. Unfortunately, Obama and Biden have always caved to the bluster, so China has a strong history of bullying in the US. That is over now that Trump is here. Trump is used to dealing with bullies, he is a bully-buster. You push Trump and he will push back, just as I taught my sons to do when they faced bullies.
When my son was suspended for standing up for himself and a disabled kid in grade school, I took him out for ice cream. You can’t let bullies push you around and you cannot pretend that if you “act nice” everyone will act nice to you. That is a naive lie created by the weak to keep from having to stand up for truth.
This will hurt American business, in the short run. However, it hurts only those companies that already chose to sell out America for the sake of making profits by dealing with communists. Ignoring the long history of broken Western Business ventures that have been destroyed by Communist countries they gave in to short term promises making our pharmaceutical, rare earths, and other industries depending on the good will of an ENEMY nation! These businessmen are, in my opinion, likened to traitors and if their businesses take a hit then it is about time they got a bloody nose for selling out the American worker.
On the China end, China is on the ropes. Their total control of the media keeps it hid but information leaks out if you know how to research a “closed” country. I cut my teeth in intelligence during the Cold War so that is how I learned, I never thought I would need to use it to find out what American media was hiding but here we are.
China has cities that are almost empty. Every indication is that they may well have lost hundreds of millions during covid. I have put out before that I would not be surprised if they had created Covid as a way of “thinning the grass” by getting rid of their elderly and others who were a drain on their state health care system. However, I believe it got away from them and they used the opportunity to make a bio-warfare attack on the West. Whatever they intended there is no doubt they used Covid as a Bioweapon against us because they closed all communication and transportation into and out of Wuhan at the start of the Epidemic except the international flights to the West. In other words, China was actively and purposefully exporting the disease (the very definition of using something as a bioweapon,) to other countries and no leader in the West had the guts to call them on it except Trump who repeatedly called it the “China Virus.” Just one more lie our media has used to protect Communist tyranny and aggression and keep from holding them responsible so they could make a profit in benefiting from Chinese slave labor and cheap products.
There are many, many pictures leaking out of China of empty streets at “Rush Hour”. Young Chinese are asking, “Where did everyone go?” Office buildings, etc, are empty and throughout Covid the Chinese government also “classified” information about how many cremations their crematoriums were doing. Yet what they could not hide is how many phones had cancelled service. In China phones are necessary. They are the tool the CCP uses to track and control their subjects. Just as we will never get accurate numbers on the millions of Ukrainians that Stalin starved in the Soviet Union, nor the millions of Chinese Mao starved to buy advanced weapons from Russia, so will we never know how many the CCP killed with their own virus, but it was a lot. Still, history calls Stalin “Uncle Joe” and Hitler a “Monster” because Stalin, who exterminated many many more people than Hitler did, was our ally and the media covered for. This is an old problem with media, lying to protect their “buddies.” Especially the New York Times, the New York times led the way in covering for Stalin’s Communist tyranny and evil by minimizing and obfuscating facts and they started this even before Stalin was our ally and when Russia was allied with Germany and, together, the Soviet Union and Germany invaded and conquered Poland. Still, when we read our History books Germany started WWII by invading Poland. France and Britain declared war on Germany (but not Russia,). Clearly something more was going on there. Politics that were hidden from us but somehow excused the Communists for their acts while painting the Germans as evil. They, the American and British press covered up the deaths in the Ukraine in the 1930s too, showing a long history of our media being sympathetic to Communism. But then, isn’t communism and socialism a natural outgrowth of radical liberal ideas of equality of outcome and state-run utopias?
Between that and the one child policy of China that country is in huge trouble. The fact that Chinese aborted girl babies and has spiked their population with males has already caused the CCP (Chinese Communist Party) to steal teen women from neighboring countries (especially North Korea,) to use them as sex slaves or “comfort women” to keep their male population from rebelling their population is screwed. As in everything else, when government has total conctrol of policies it goes too far. Humans, always go too far. The Golden Mean, in one form or another, has been hailed as the goal in every great civilization from the Far East to Europe but it is always raised as a goal because humans too often go from one extreme to the other.
Just as we have with Green Energy and Open Borders, China’s attempts to control and limit its population went way too far and is in danger of destroying China. China, after nearly a hundred years of mismanagement by the CCP it is fragile and on the verge of its own destruction. If they don’t “make a deal” China will erupt into civil war, they are close anyway.
“Experts” will deny this and tell me I am wrong just as the “experts” in the 1980s told me I was wrong when I wrote an intelligence analysis that the Soviet Union would collapse within ten years. But I wasn’t wrong. Experts can only see along a narrow band of knowledge, unfortunately for them – and for anyone who trusts them – we live in a complex system where you need broad knowledge to figure out events. This is where my strengths come in. I have a broad range of knowledge and have never narrowed my focus down with a PhD. To just one subject. When you focus too narrowly you can no longer “see the forest for the trees” (which means that your responses are like “I don’t see any forest. How can you see anything with all these trees in the way.” I constantly see experts on TV who seem to be stuck in this paradigm only they are stuck in their own narrow view.
When I was a young paper boy I had a customer named Houghton Furr, Sr.. My dad said he “had like 5 master’s degrees” which gives you an idea. He was a professor of law and a concert organist, directed symphony, and taught French, as well as being a pilot and member of the Army Air Corp. His endeavors in music, law, business, language, and life had a broad range of interests and he could see well beyond any one field of expertise. Today, our obsession with finely tuning specializations has created PhD’s who may be walking encyclopedias in their field but many of them I have met are stupid and they cannot think beyond what they have been told.
China cannot withstand the added pressure of US tariffs. It will break. The CCP’s chief goal is to maintain power and it will not let its own grip on China falter just to win the Tariff War. It gets too much of its money from trading with the US – sure it will hurt those businesses in America and the West that foolishly placed their trust and hopes in cheap Chinese goods but that is also part of Trump’s plans. He wants to break American dependence on our Enemy’s good will. Dependence created by greedy capitalists who made their decisions based on cheap slave labor China could provide and gave the finger to American workers in the process. Either way this is a win win for America…in the long run. In the short run it can look bad but as long as it happens now the market has time to recover before the mid-term elections and I believe that it will. Trust me on this.
Most Americans cannot play in the stock market anyway and losses to retirement accounts will hopefully be made up by reduction of taxes and waste eliminated by DOGE that reduces other costs.
Don’t shed a tear for the declining market. There are plenty of principled American businessmen who have not sold out America to China and their cheap slave labor goods and if businesses suffer that put their own profits over what is write then they are exactly the “greedy capitalists” that Christ and Marx warned us about. (Ouch, it hurt putting those too names together. Especially since Marx is so anti-Christian but both have warned us about greed and Christ repeatedly warned us about the “white washed sepulchres” (people who look good on the outside but who are dead on the inside and have no soul.)
Also, while the volatile market is death to “day trading” those who hang on and have kept liquid capital will buy up when the market hits bottom and then ride it back up. Literally, the ones who are hurt will be primarily the greedy who tried to get something for nothing and who turned their back on patriotism, selling out America to globalist trade and cheap foreign labor.
