Western Civilization is built on individualism, rule of law, blind justice, calm debate, honest facts, and high trust. It grew from Germano-Nordic roots, Greco-Roman order, and Judeo-Christian values, creating the freest and wealthiest society in history. Yet it is now poisoned by incompatible mindsets that act like cancer inside the body politic. I am Daniel Saber and welcome to SabersEdge Discourse # 210 and this is the first dangerous mindset we face:
NOT A QUESTION OF RACE – IT’S A QUESTION OF CULTURES
This is not a war on any race or religion, but it is a clash of civilizations and cultures that cannot coexist peacefully. Data and history prove these mindsets are hostile to our survival. When they infect schools, courts, and governments, those institutions stop serving the whole society. They push division instead of fairness and destroy the shared beliefs that hold us together.
The Karmelo Anthony case in Frisco, Texas, lays it bare. In 2025, 17-year-old Austin Metcalf was stabbed to death after (according to more than 20 black and white witnesses,) repeatedly asking Karmelo Anthony to leave his team’s tent. Anthony claimed self-defense because he was “touched” on the shoulder. Some supporters cheered it as justified payback for disrespect. That is pure ghetto thinking: minor slight equals lethal violence. Western law demands proportion and evidence. Ghetto honor culture demands blood for bruised pride.
TRIBAL LOYALTY REPLACES JUSTICE
Dr. Thomas Sowell, one of the most brilliant men in America (and a black man btw,) explains the root cause in “Black Rednecks and White Liberals.” What we call “Black ghetto culture” is not African. It is old “cracker culture” or “redneck culture” brought by poor whites from Britain’s lawless border regions (Scots-Irish, Welsh, Highlanders). It is a culture of easy violence, short tempers, disdain for steady work and education, loose sex, loud pride, and quick revenge over tiny insults.
Southern Blacks absorbed the same habits. When they migrated north, this “black redneck” culture became today’s inner-city street code: “don’t snitch,” mind games around respect and disrespect, 70%+ fatherless homes, and the deadly belief that being touched or looked at wrong justifies killing. Further, like the tribal African and Middle Eastern cultures views “right” is not based on morality or law fairly and impartially administered, for them “right” is anything that helps the tribe or group, and “wrong” is anything that hurts the group.
LOW IQ – BELOW 80 (We Used to Call This Retarded) Is The Average IQ in Some Cultures
Low average IQ (often 80 or below) makes it all far worse. IQ strongly predicts impulse control, planning, and using words instead of fists. Mix low cognitive ability (a cpu that can’t cope with modern Western society,) with violent honor-tribal-culture software and people skip reason and debate—the heart of the West—and go straight to violence to solve problems. We see the same primitive tribalism today among low-IQ immigrants in Europe. Through it all they cannot see that they are the problem and blame some convenient scapegoat that is outside of the tribal group. “THAT,” they say, “is the real problem. They are against us.” History warns us: Rome defeated tribal Europe and replaced clan loyalty with citizenship and law. But when Rome let in unassimilated Germanic tribes, it helped topple the empire and brought centuries of Dark Ages violence.
CULTURES ARE NOT ALL THE SAME
Today this culture brings sky-high crime, welfare dependency, failing schools, and broken families (single-mother homes and “honor killings” among real tribes). It is an un-assimilatable burden to high-trust, high-tech societies that need people who can follow complex rules and law as well as to solve problems peacefully and rationally. When large groups cannot or will not, then we see trust collapse. Institutions get captured by grievance culture instead of equal justice, logic, and facts.
Sowell proves this is culture, not race. The same patterns hurt poor Southern whites who kept the old ways. Today the biggest concentration is in urban Black communities, protected and romanticized by white liberals who scream “racist” at any criticism. That denial speeds the cancer.
We do not hate individuals or races. I and my sons all served along excellent Black soldiers who rejected this culture. My father supervised and managed both black and white on construction projects and the only difference he could see – in these well adjusted Black Americans – was that “the blacks aren’t afraid of hard work.” Many Black Americans succeed beautifully in both the US and Europe. Britain currently has an impressive black woman as leader of the opposition in Parliament, Kemi Badenoch (born Olukemi Olufunto Badenoch, in Wimbledon, London to an immigrant doctor who emigrated from Nigeria,) is more British than Keir Starmer. Again, Somali born Ayaan Hirsi Ali, made a conscious choice to leave behind her tribal upbringing to embrace Western Culture, and there are so many others too numerous to mention at every level of society. I say again, this is NOT about race, religion, or anti-immigrant it is about culture. Kemi and so many others have enthusiastically embraced Western Culture while others stubbornly cling to ways that don’t fit the society we have built and respond in violence when they become frustrated.
WHAT CAN BE DONE?
By now you probably know what I think. We should return to proven methods of education, teach Western values and build up faith and family and find ways to restore institutions that used to teach them. Ignoring these patterns is not compassion. It is slow-motion suicide for the greatest civilization ever built. After Karmelo Anthony’s supporters and tribal fraudsters in Minnesota have shown their values, we have no excuse left.
I know that many young people think our slide into chaos is inevitable. They see the post Western future as a Mad Max hellscape or a dysfunctional cyberpunk dystopia. But giving up ensures those futures. And it also ensures the starvation, plague, violence and death that always follows the collapse of a great civilization.
What do you think? How do we fix this? We are in this together and we will rise or fall together. Do we continue providing welfare traps with no way of working yourself out of or do we change the system to encourage people to better themselves? Should we let anyone into our high-trust societies or choose immigrants that fit our societal values and reject violence and terrorism? Do we continue to ignore things as they continue to get worse or do we address it in ways that protect those who will and do thrive in our culture; empowering those who seek to escape violent and dysfunctional socieites – whether they are escaping Africa or Chicago?
The choice is ours. Face reality and save what works, or keep importing and excusing incompatible mindsets, and mouth political platitudes? Do we simply not care and expect more of the same until the West falls like ancient Rome—brought down by barbarians within the gates? Or do we fight for the future with every ounce of strength until our final breath? The choices are ours and it is time to make our stand or hide in the basement in the vain hope the collapse doesn’t mess with our internet connection.
